Man falls down railway embankment in police chase

A man has been seriously injured after falling down a railway embankment while being pursued by police officers.

West Yorkshire Police said officers had chased the suspect from business on Upper Piccadilly, Bradford, following reports of fraudulent activity.

He was then followed down Broad Street, at about 09:14 BST, where he fell down the embankment leading down to Forster Square station.

A police spokesperson said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
