Man arrested after girl, 16, sexually assaulted in woodland

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in Kirkcaldy.

The teenager was attacked while walking through woodland between Dunnikier Way and Hendry Road in Kirkcaldy.

Police Scotland said the alleged incident happened at about 14:30 on Thursday.

Officers said inquiries were ongoing and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
