Man found with serious head injury in city centre

A man has been taken to hospital with a serious had injury after he was found in Derby city centre.

Derbyshire Police said it received a report just before 03:30 BST on Sunday that a man, in his 20s, was found hurt in the road in Stafford Street.

He remains in hospital receiving treatment, and his family have been informed and are being supported by officers, the force added.

Anyone with information about how the man came to be injured or has CCTV or dashcam footage of the area has been urged to contact police.
