A bowling alley in Derbyshire will remain closed "until further notice" after a BMW crashed through the wall.

Three people were injured after a crash in Derby Road, Ilkeston, shortly before 17:00 BST on Friday.

"A huge thank you to all the emergency services involved. We are extremely grateful those injured only suffered minor injuries."

Police said that three people were treated for minor injuries, and the driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and taken to hospital.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said "multiple crews" attended to assist police.

The service assessed structural damage to the building after the vehicle left a hole in the wall of the bowling alley.
