Katherine Sharp will represent the Fletton and Woodston ward

The Green Party has won a city council by-election in Peterborough, increasing its total number of seats to seven.

Katherine Sharp secured 664 votes in the Fletton and Woodston ward, ahead of Reform UK in second place with 479 votes.

Control of the authority remains unchanged, with Labour, the Liberal Democrats and Peterborough First forming the administration.

The full results were:

  • Janet Brown (Conservative) - 208 votes
  • Ryan Gallagher (Reform UK) - 479 votes
  • Adam Marshall (Labour) - 213 votes
  • Lewis Page (Lib Dem) - 37 votes
  • Katherine Sharp (Green) - 664 votes
  • Jonathan Wilde-Lyonnes (Your Party) - 11 votes
