Police have appealed for information on the dead birds

Police have launched an appeal after several ducks were found dead near Buxton with one appearing to have a gunshot wound.

Derbyshire Police's rural crime team said the 12 birds were found near Green Lane, Derbyshire, on 10 December.

The team said one duck had what appeared to be a gunshot wound, while several others were tied up with bail twine.

Officers asked anyone with information that could help their investigation to contact the force.
