Work on what was aiming to be the largest mural in Cornwall is under way.

The street art is being carried out in Camborne's New Connexion Street, aiming to tell the story of the town through spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Ideas for the project came out of a series of workshops led by artist Cosmic and involving residents, schools and other local groups.

It has been funded by Camborne Town Deal and managed by BID Camborne.

Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne manager said: "It's amazing to see such a big spread of artwork brightening up rather drab walls.

"Lots of adults and children provided valuable input into the creative process and I'm so excited to see the mural's progress.

The mural hopes to become the biggest in Cornwall

"Cosmic's art has already made a big difference to utility boxes around the town, but this promises to be a masterpiece that people will want to see. It's already delighting passers-by."

Camborne was awarded £23.7m in government funding in 2021 for ten regeneration schemes aimed at revitalising the town centre and boosting the local economy.
