Your guide to new Blenheim Palace music festival

A new summer music festival where some of the world's biggest artists will take to the stage is coming to Oxfordshire this week.

Blenheim Palace announced its new summer festival last June after Nocturne Live Oxfordshire revealed that, after 10 years, it would no longer be staging its outdoor music festival at the stately home.

Taking place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site's Great Court, Blenheim Palace Festival will be headlined by Alanis Morissette, Katy Perry, Teddy Swims, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics, Michael Bublé and Neil Young.

Gates open at 17:00 for general admission, accessible and orangery ticket holders. Organisers recommend arriving early.

Gates open at 16:30 for VIP hospitality guests.

Entertainment is scheduled to finish at approximately 22:30.

There are a number of ways to get to Blenheim Palace.

Driving

For those driving to the venue, parking is required and can be purchased on the day, which will be card payments only.

Coach

Big Green Coach packages are available for Blenheim Palace Festival, with travel available from London (Victoria Coach Station), Reading (Winnersh Triangle), Reading (Calcot), Bristol, Bristol Parkway, Swindon, Birmingham and Arle Court.

Shuttle bus

Blenheim Palace Festival is partnering with Stagecoach to deliver a shuttle bus running from Oxford Train Station to Blenheim Palace.

The bus will be labelled as 'Blenheim Palace Festival' and will depart every 30 minutes from the rail station.

Train

There are also frequent train services to the nearby train stations of Oxford, Oxford Parkway and Hanborough.

Travel from London Marylebone by Chiltern Trains to Oxford Parkway - then connect to Blenheim by Bus 7 - is the quickest route from London to Blenheim.

Bag searches will be in operation at all entry points. Organisers say no rucksacks or backpacks larger than A4 size will be permitted.

Those who require a larger bag for medical reasons are being asked to contact organisers in advance.

One sealed water bottle - maximum 500ml - and one empty reusable water bottle is allowed per person. Free water refill stations will be available.

Due to it being a seated event, chairs, portable furniture, and inflatables are not allowed into the venue for any of the concerts. Wheelchairs are not affected by this policy.

Dogs are also not allowed into the event, which will be cashless.
