A driver has died and another is seriously injured following a crash in Lincolnshire.

Emergency crews were called to reports of a collision involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Kia shortly after 07:00 BST on Sunday on the B1188 Sleaford Road, between Branston and Potterhanworth Heath.

Lincolnshire Police said the driver of the Corsa, a woman in her 50s from Lincoln, died at the scene, while the other driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
