Woman dies after two-car crash on A-road

A woman has died after being involved in a crash on an A-road.

Cambridgeshire Police said the collision happened on the A605 near Guyhirn at about 14:50 BST on Saturday.

A 61-year-old woman from Wisbech died at the scene and another woman, 41, from Whittlesey, near Peterborough, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, the force said.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

They said the crash involved a silver MG HS and a red Hyundai Kona.

The suspect has been released on police bail until 7 September.
