'Precious, gleaming bikes' in town centre display

Grantham Bike Night will be held on 6 August

Rows of "gleaming" bikes will be on display at the second annual Grantham Bike Night.

The event is due to be held in Market Place and surrounding streets on Thursday, between 17:00 and 21:00 BST.

South Kesteven District Council said the event would be "packed with live music, big sounds and brilliant performances", as well as "rows of precious, gleaming bikes".

Deputy leader Paul Stokes said: "Last year's event had such a great atmosphere and we're on track to make this second bike event another unforgettable experience, as we know visitors come from far and wide to share their machines, knowledge and camaraderie."

The first event was staged in 2025, after informal bike meet-ups had previously been held in Grantham.

The council said an estimated 800 motorbikes and 2,000 people attended, with the event supported by British Superbike and MotoGP racer Chris "The Stalker" Walker.

Key exhibitors this year include motorcycle retailer Moto GB, sales and restoration experts Motorcycle Reclamation, Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes, advanced motorcycle safety trainers and Lincolnshire Police Cadets.

The council said the event is open to everyone and free to attend.

Visitors are urged to plan their journey carefully: Conduit Lane, Grantham Market Place and Narrow Westgate will be closed from 14:00 to 23:00, while Conduit Lane Car Park will be closed from 12:00 to make space for bikes.

These closures are in addition to roadworks on the Grantham Gyratory.
