Man arrested after fire at former nightclub
BBC/Mat TrewernA man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a former nightclub.
Emergency services were called to the building on King Street in Wigan at about 03:10 BST on Monday morning, with three fire engines from Bolton and Atherton sent to the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters had extinguished the fire, but had remained at the building for a period to check for any lingering hot spots.
Greater Manchester Police said a 31-year-old man had been taken into custody for questioning.
