Head teacher denies taking child abuse image
PA MediaA primary school head teacher is due to face trial after being charged with taking an indecent photo of a child.
Matthew Hargreaves, 47, was the head of King's Northway Primary Academy in Wavertree, Liverpool, until he was suspended following his arrest.
He pleaded guilty last month to three counts of making indecent images of children between 11 April 2021 and 3 May 2026.
In a separate hearing at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, Hargreaves, of Rochdale, denied one additional charge, and was remanded in custody ahead of a three-day trial to start on 14 December.
