A museum in Bradford has been temporarily closed due to "technical issues".

According to the city council, Bradford Industrial Museum was closed on Saturday due to unforeseen circumstances and will reopen on Tuesday.

The former wool mill in Eccleshill, which dates from 1875, was originally Moorside Mills and has been a museum since 1974.

It features displays of textile machinery, steam-powered engines and motor vehicles.

A statement on Bradford District Museum's and Gardens website said: "Due to technical issues, we have had to make the decision to close Bradford Industrial Museum today [Saturday] and tomorrow [Sunday].

"We hope to be able to welcome you back to site on 6th January, but if you're making a special journey, please contact the site before setting off."
