Firefighters battle blaze overnight at industrial estate
Fubar NewsFirefighters have fought through the night to tackle a blaze at an industrial estate in Aberdeenshire.
Crews were called to the fire in Tipperty, near Ellon, at about 18:30 on Tuesday.
At the height of the operation, nine fire engines and a number of specialist resources were deployed.
Residents living nearby were advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke from the blaze. Motorists travelling on the nearby A90 were also urged to take extra care after smoke drifted across the road.
No injuries have been reported.
The scale of the response was reduced overnight as crews brought the fire under control.
One fire engine remained at the scene at 06:30 on Wednesday to dampen down remaining hotspots and monitor the area.
The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed.
One of the companies operating at the site, Connon Brothers Coal and Kiln Dried Logs, said that all fuel stock was untouched "along with all of our vehicles and majority of our plant".
