Two people have been arrested after cash, drugs and a weapon were found in an early morning raid at a property in Bradford.

Officers executed a warrant on Muirhead Drive, in Holme Wood, at about 05:00 BST and, following searches, about £4,000 in cash, crack cocaine and a knife were discovered, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

Several mobile phones and a stolen motorcycle were also found at the property, they said.

A man, aged 45, and a woman, aged 42, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and they remain in custody, the spokesperson added.

Sgt Charlie Smallwood, of Bradford South Neighbourhood PoIicing Team, said: "We know the supply and distribution of drugs fuels violence in our communities, and we are determined to crack down on these crimes.

"I would urge members of the public to provide intelligence to the police in relation to drug offences or concerns about suspicious activity. Any information, no matter how small, is vital."
