Man charged after drugs found at Belfast City Airport
PSNIA man arrested at Belfast City Airport after suspected drugs worth £300,000 were found in luggage on a connecting international flight has been charged with a number of drugs offences.
The 36-year-old was detained at the airport on Wednesday.
He has been charged with possession of Class B controlled drugs, possession of Class B controlled drugs with intent to supply and importation of class B controlled drugs.
He appeared at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Getty ImagesThe search, seizure and arrest was conducted as part of the ongoing multi-agency approach of the Organised Crime Task Force to "target organised crime and the criminality linked to drug importation, supply and use that often results in drug debts, drug addiction and drug-related deaths within our communities," the PSNI said.
