Man dies in hospital after motorbike crash

A man in his 60s has died after his motorbike crashed in Birmingham.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on Mackadown Lane, Tile Cross, at 05:55 BST.

The biker was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he died shortly after.

West Midlands Police said the man's family had been informed and were being supported.

An investigation is under way to establish the circumstances of the crash, and the force has appealed for anyone who was in the area or has dashcam footage to phone 101.

The road was closed following the crash but had since reopened, police said.
