A trampolinist who toured with Take That on their Circus tour has described the emotion of the opening night at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium.

Bournemouth University student Millie Harvey was invited by a circus company to be part of a "new show" but had no idea she would be embarking on a stadium tour with the group.

Harvey, who gained a scholarship to pursue her sport while she was studying psychology, said she was "beaming" when she learned about the tour.

She said: "It felt surreal. I remember the first show in Southampton, during the opening, I had to hold back the tears because I had never imagined myself being a part of such a big show."

Harvey says she "still can't fully grasp" what she has experienced

Harvey had just completed her degree when she embarked on the stadium shows, alongside her GB synchronised trampolining partner, Max Middleton.

She said: "It didn't really feel real at first and even now after I've finished the tour, I still can't fully grasp what I've just experienced.

"Seeing how excited the fans were and watching the Take That boys was just amazing."

Take That performed 17 shows across the UK and Ireland between 29 May and 4 July.

Reflecting on her time with group, she said: "The boys are honestly the most lovely, down-to-earth, amazing people.

"They are so hardworking and always made everyone feel so welcome when they saw us."

While at Bournemouth University, Harvey received a sports scholarship to support her competitive trampolining.

Earlier this year, Harvey and Middleton competed at the senior world championships in Spain where they made their first world final.

Harvey also reached the semi-finals in the individual event at a World Cup in Italy.
