Teen surfs every day of year to 'spread the love'
IsaacA teenager has taken on a challenge to surf every day for a year to raise money for charity.
Isaac, 16, said he had been inspired by the physical challenges undertaken by the radio presenter Sarah Cox and TV presenters Matt Baker and Joe Wicks and had decided to make his own challenge for BBC Children in Need.
Isaac, from Bude, said he loves surfing and wanted to do something to help young people.
He said: "No matter the conditions, no matter the weather, no matter the day, good days, bad days, every single day I'm out there just trying to spread the love to raise money for Children in Need."
Bude Surf ImagesIsaac has been surfing in all conditions, sometimes starting at five in the morning and sometimes as late as 10 at night.
On days where there has not been much surf, he has used a foam-based surfboard and in May he surfed tandem on a 10ft 7in (3.2m) board to break up the routine.
The teenager records his daily surf challenge on his social media profiles which he edits together at the end of each day.
As part of the Team England Junior surf squad Isaac has the chance to compete abroad as well as in UK.
Some of the surfs he has clocked up in his challenge have been in training camps or while in competition in various countries including Morocco and Spain.
Isaac said his fundraising target is £3,650 and he thanked those who have donated.
He said he could not believe the number of people following his social media reports and about 30% of them were from outside of the UK, including Australia and New Zealand.
He is six months into his challenge and said he hoped to "smash" his fundraising target.
