Hay bales set on fire three times in one night
Shefford Fire StationFirefighters called to the same field three times in one night say hay bales were deliberately set on fire.
Shefford Community Fire station in Bedfordshire attended a field in Henlow at 01:41 BST on Wednesday for a second time, after 10 hay bales had earlier been set alight, it said in a social media post.
Crews had extinguished a third fire by 05:21 involving three more bales.
Police have been informed, the fire service said.
The fire service said three hay bales had been set alight in the original fire and apologised to locals for the smoke in the area.
