Boy, 15, charged with murder of 12-year-old
Essex PoliceTwo people have been charged with murder after a 12-year-old boy died after being struck by a vehicle.
Bobby Bloomfield sustained serious injuries in the incident in Ashwells Road, Brentwood, shortly before 17:40 BST on Sunday and died a short time later in hospital.
Police said a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and William Lunnon, 43, of Ashwells Road in Pilgrims Hatch, had been charged with murder and remanded in custody. They are due to appear in court on Thursday.
Two men aged 65 and 54, and two women, aged 65 and 45, all from the Pilgrims Hatch area, were also arrested on Tuesday and remain in custody on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
The force said detectives were continuing to build a detailed picture of the circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation remained ongoing.
