Motorcyclist, 29, killed in crash with van named

A motorcyclist who died when his bike collided with a van on a rural road in Calderdale has been named.

Dylan Sumner, 29, was riding a Yamaha MT motorcycle on Saddleworth Road, Greetland, when he collided with a Fiat Ducato van at about 10:20 BST on 25 June.

West Yorkshire Police said Sumner, who was from Widnes, Cheshire, died at the scene.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on bail.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision which took place at the junction with Gate Head Lane.

Anyone who may have dashcam footage is also being asked to contact them.
