Hundreds of people have joined in with sea shanties, seafood and street theatre to celebrate the maritime and seafaring heritage of Grimsby.

The Festival of the Sea took place at multiple sites across the town centre and docks.

The event, which is now in its sixth year, also featured family friendly entertainment and activities, cooking demonstrations and a fish quiz.

Nigel Edwards, who helped to organise the festival, said: "We have a vision that this event will grow in years to come."
