Three-year-old boy given CPR after going into water at country park

A three-year-old boy was given CPR at a country park after getting into difficulty in a body of water, police say.

South Wales Police was called to the scene at Bryngarw Country Park in Bridgend at about 14:20 BST on Saturday.

A member of the public carried out CPR on the child until an ambulance arrived.

The boy, from Newport, has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Police said an investigation into what happened was ongoing.
