Tribute as fourth teen charged over fatal stabbing

The family of a 17-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed have paid tribute to him after a fourth teenager was charged in connection with his death.

Bilal Nisar was found with stab wounds at Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton at about 18:30 BST; he later died in hospital.

Three teenagers, a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds, have been charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article. They were remanded into custody on Monday.

A fourth teenager, aged 17, has since been charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon; he is due to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court today.

Paying tribute, Nisar's family said: "Bilal was an amazing brother, son, uncle, and friend to us all.

"His kindness, sense of humour and unwavering loyalty were qualities that would light up any room he walked into,

"He had a bright future ahead of him, but we cherish the memories he has left us with."

Three other teenagers have been bailed pending further enquiries, while police are seeking three more people they believe were at the scene.

Det Insp Caeva Taylor said: "Our thoughts are with Bilal's family at this difficult time.

"We are urging anyone who has information about the incident, witnessed it or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time, to please come forward."
