Four men charged after £1m cocaine seizure by police

Four men have been charged to court after police seized suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £1.1m in the greater Belfast area.

The men, aged 26, 27, 33 and 34, were arrested on Monday and Tuesday following the seizure of 14kg of suspected cocaine and herbal cannabis worth around £15,000.

They have been charged with possession of Class A controlled drugs and possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply.

The 33 year-old man has also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

A fifth man, aged 59, has been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
