The staff of a pub that suffered roof damage after a fire have shared a message of gratitude for its supporters.

The Crooked Billet in Stoke Row, Oxfordshire, caught fire at 02:20 BST on Sunday which left the staff "very shaken" but also relieved that no one had been hurt.

In a message on the pub's website, owner and chef Paul Clerehugh says he is currently meeting with "all the necessary officials so that I can get cooking for you again - ASAP".

"We've been completely inundated with well wishes and love," the message adds.

In the message update, Clerehugh says staff will keep supporters updated via the pub's social media accounts and those who have upcoming bookings will be contacted.
