Pedestrian in serious condition after crash

A woman in her 90s is in a serious condition after being knocked over by a car at a junction in Sheffield, police have said.

A grey Peugeot 508 struck the woman, who was dressed in dark clothes, after the junction with Moorthorpe Way in Owlthorpe at 16:40 GMT on Saturday and she was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

South Yorkshire Police said the driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with enquires.

A force spokesperson asked for anyone who witnessed the incident or had any dashcam footage of it to come forward.
