Disturbance outside bar leads to two arrests

Two people have been arrested after what police described as "a serious disturbance" outside a bar in Kent.

Police were called to Upper Stone Street, in Maidstone, shortly before 02:50 BST, where four people said they had been attacked after a man and a woman were refused entry to the premises.

Two men in their 30s were injured, with one suffering a serious ankle injury and another a head injury, officers said.

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Campbell Road following a search, and a 29-year-old woman was detained shortly afterwards. Both suspects were taken into custody.

Anyone with information, or dashcam or CCTV footage, is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
