Police are treating a huge blaze at a derelict warehouse in West Lothian as wilful as investigations continue.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire which took hold at Deans Industrial Estate in Livingston at about 15:20 on Sunday.

Four fire engines and a specialist height crew spent 10 hours working to get the blaze under control with assistance from Police Scotland.

There were no casualties and Police Scotland confirmed that inquiries were ongoing.

During the incident, towering flames could be seen with huge grey clouds of smoke billowing into the sky.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was in attendance at a derelict building on Sunday.

A spokeswoman said: "Operations Control mobilised four appliances and a height vehicle to the scene and crews left at 12.48am on Monday, 15 June after working to make the area safe.

"There were no reported casualties."
