Person taken to hospital after crash closes A9 near Dunkeld

One person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash that has closed the A9 in both directions south of Dunkeld.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision at about 06:10.

Three ambulances and a special operations response team were sent to the incident, with police and fire crews also in attendance.

Motorists have been warned to expect lengthy diversions.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said one person was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The condition of the person is currently unknown.
