There will be an outdoor classroom at the new attraction

A new glimpse of the view that visitors to Eden Project Morecambe may experience when approaching the eco-attraction when it opens has been released.

As well as showing the main entrance and outdoor garden classroom, wider views of how the Bring Me Sunshine Garden - inspired by the late comedian Eric Morecambe - will look have been shared.

Construction of the garden is due to start with a ground-breaking ceremony on 24 June.

Bosses recently revealed plans to install a centrepiece that will come in the form of a multi-million pound, 20m-high tree inside one of the site's shell-shaped domes.

The garden, which will form part of a 1.5-acre public community garden in Morecambe, is due to open in spring 2027 while the full Eden Project Morecambe site is due to open in the winter of 2028.

The new design for Eden Project Morecambe features two main shell-inspired domes and coastal gardens rather than four domes as originally planned.

The design had to be reduced because of rising costs and other factors.

But the attraction's bosses insist it will still "wow" visitors and help to regenerate Morecambe, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.

Fundraising is essential and Eden Project Morecambe needs to bring in half of the estimated budget of £100m.

The other £50m is coming from the government.
