Further arrest after fatal stabbing in Doncaster

Another man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 57-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Doncaster.

Wayne Solomon was found seriously injured in Galsworthy Close, just before 23:00 BST on 24 June, and died later in hospital.

As part the ongoing investigation, a 32-year-old man from Doncaster was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and has now been bailed, South Yorkshire Police said.

A separate man, 24-year-old Brandon Gilbert, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in connection with Solomon's death. He will next appear in Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.

Officers say 11 people have been arrested as part of the investigation into Soloman's death.

Four men, aged 19, 28, 32, and 52 who were arrested on suspicion of murder, have since been bailed pending further inquiries.

A 43-year-old man and two women, aged 45 and 51, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have also been bailed.

A 46-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder, possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving and robbery was released with no further action on all offences except for dangerous driving, for which he was bailed.

A 24-year-old man who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder was also released with no further action.
