Man charged after boy suffers life-changing injuries

A man has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a car and left with life-changing injuries.

The boy remains in a stable condition in hospital after he was seriously injured on Station Road in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, on Saturday, according to Thames Valley Police.

The 28-year-old man from Slough was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving over the prescribed alcohol limit, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without insurance.

He was scheduled to appear at Wycombe Magistrates' Court later today.

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw a grey Mercedes AMG in the area that day, to get in touch.
