Police appeal after woman robbed in city centre
GooglePolice have launched an appeal for information after a woman was threatened and robbed of her handbag in Derby city centre.
Derbyshire Police said a man threatened the woman, in her 30s, in Crompton Street at the junction with Green Lane, at 02:25 GMT on Sunday.
The suspect, the force added, grabbed her black handbag containing keys, bank cards and a quantity of cash, before fleeing the area in the direction of Gerard Street.
The attacker has been described as a white man with a dark-coloured moustache, of medium build and height and wearing all black clothing with a hood up and a black cap. He had white stripes down the arms of his top, police said.
Officers believe the suspect was spotted just before the robbery at Derby bus station, and on East Street, St Peter's Street and in St Peter's Churchyard.
Before the robbery, a group of people were seen in the vicinity of Crompton Street, and it is thought those people might have heard the victim or witnessed the crime.
Police are appealing for these potential witnesses and to anyone else who has information to come forward.
