Man arrested over threats to kill at shop

Armed officers have arrested a man on suspicion of making threats to kill at Cribbs Causeway retail park near Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police received a report of a man in his 60s acting in a threatening manner at a shop at the retail park on Thursday at about 19:30 BST.

Police said the man was located in the Temple Back area near Temple Meads Station where armed officers were deployed "due to the nature of the man's behaviour".

He was arrested and remains in police custody.

The force said officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

They said reassurance was being provided to staff affected.
