A lorry fire has closed a large A-road in one direction.

The A419 northbound at Swindon, Wiltshire, has been closed from the Blunsdon junction, Wiltshire Police said.

The force urged motorists to find alternative routes and it would provide an update when the road reopened.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said there was a lot of smoke and urged people to avoid the area.
