Gardaí (Irish police) have seized drugs worth an estimated €1.95m (£1.67m) and almost €144,000 in cash at Dublin Port.

Approximately 80.5kg of cannabis and 5kg of cocaine was recovered during an operation on Sunday.

A man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested and have since been charged in connection with the investigation.

They appeared before Dublin District Court on Tuesday
