Murder arrest over man's stabbing death

A 24-year-old man died of stab wounds inflicted in a street attack on Saturday

A 27-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was stabbed in a street attack in Manchester.

The victim, aged 24, suffered serious stab wounds on Chapel Street, Levenshulme, at 19:00 BST on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP).

He died at the scene and detectives are trying to locate his next of kin.

Officers took the arrested man into custody for questioning. GMP has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
