Offices can be converted into homes after a plan was given council approval.

Regents Gate, in Crown Street, Reading, was previously used by Spire Healthcare but can be used for 29 flats after Reading Borough Council gave a plan the go-ahead.

The developer, Regents Gate Reading, said the project, at the junction of Crown Street and Newark Street, would benefit from the development's 31-space undercroft parking.

No work will be needed to change the building's current access, Regents Gate Reading added.
