Murder inquiry into suspected stabbing death

A 19-year-old man was found with injuries believed to be stab wounds, and died later in hospital

A murder investigation has been launched after a man died shortly after being taken to hospital.

Emergency services were called to Bradwell Common in Milton Keynes at about 16:20 BST on Sunday.

A 19-year-old man was found with injuries believed to be stab wounds, Thames Valley Police said.

Someone has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in police custody, the spokesperson added.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common at the time to get in touch

The victim's next of kin have been informed but a formal identification and post-mortem examination have yet to take place.

Det Ch Supt Ailsa Kent said: "We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and would like to speak to anyone who was in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common, specifically near to or in the playground, between 15:30 and 16:30 and witnessed an altercation."

She is also appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.
