Three badly hurt as motorcycles crash with tractor

Three people were badly injured after two motorbikes were involved in a crash with a tractor in Aberdeenshire.

The collision happened on the A92 near Catterline at about 15:25 on Saturday.

The rider and passenger of one bike - a 61-year-old man and 52-year-old woman - and the 44-year-old male rider of the other were taken to hospital with what were described as serious injuries. The driver of the tractor was not injured.

Police Scotland, appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage, said the road was closed for about seven hours to allow a crash investigation to be carried out.
