Heathery (In), 348 yards, par four
This hole was lengthened by 34 yards for 2005 but it's still a driveable par four in the right conditions. There are pot bunkers all the way up the hole but in recent years, due to equipment advances, most players have had a bash at the green. There's one demon pot bunker right in front of the putting surface that gathers many a shot just when a player thinks they've hit a perfect one. The second shot is superb. The green is an upturned saucer and the pin is on a little shelf, and there's so many different ways you can approach it - with a pitch, chip-and-run up the bank or a long putt. It's a brilliant green and a superb short par four. Heathery (In): The name derives from the green's original condition - heathery. Stroke bunker (at 175 yards): So called because, once in it, you lose at least one stroke.
