Hole 9

The ninth hole on the Old Course

With the breeze behind, a lot of players will have a crack at the green as it's very much driveable.

Otherwise, there are two deep pot bunkers - Boase's and End Hole - in the centre of the fairway which will swallow anything short.

They can be avoided short, left or right but players must stay out of them to ensure reaching the green in two.

The second shot is deceptive to a hard, flat circular green which has little definition, but it is certainly one of the easiest holes.

End: Marks the end or turning point of the course.
