Unless you’re perched on the first-tee grandstand it can be a bit tricky to see where the drives ultimately land.

Judging by the masrhshal who waves the shot’s direction with a yellow paddle, they’ve all striped it down the middle.

There was a pretty special roar as the starter announced Bob MacIntyre was on the tee, too.

Bob MacIntyre is in good spirits as he picks up his scorecard on the first tee.

Plenty of laughs with his playing partner Matt Fitzpatrick and their caddies.

Once this first tee shot is hit though, it’ll be all business.

    McIlroy -11 (7)

Rory McIlroy is attacking at every hole, and why not?

Two big hits at the par-five seventh get him just short of the green and he opts for putter from there.

It's weighted perfectly and that's a tap-in birdie to get him to 11 under.

At the venue today, you can find three of the most prestigious trophies in all of golf.

The quaich for the winner today is flanked by The Claret Jug and the Masters trophy, which is a replica of the Augusta National clubhouse.

Only one player in the field today has won all three. Any guesses?

The sun has returned to the Renaissance Club after yesterday's foggy chaos.

The temperate is in the high teens and there is no rain forecast.

Must say, though, the glare of the sun on the all-white media tent is making it quite difficult to see my laptop screen properly. Still, makes a change from the rattling this tent took from the wind yesterday.

It’s not often you hear such a cheer on a practice range.

Bob MacIntyre, who has a share of the lead and every fan in the place behind him, strolls up the path to the range to a chorus of cheers, roars and applause.

There’s a great weight of expectation on him today, no doubt.

But he’s plotted a championship-winning Sunday round of golf here before.

Should he do it again, expect a party.

    McIlroy -10 (6)

After a miserable third-round 73, Rory McIlroy is off to a flier this afternoon.

Four birdies in his opening six holes have hoisted the Masters champion to 10 under.

Now two off the lead, has he left himself too much to do for a title challenge?

    Hovland -7 (9), Rahm -7 (8)

Two European Ryder Cup stalwarts have scored well on the front nine.

Norway's Viktor Hovland has shaken off the disappointment of last night's football to get to the turn in 31 blows, while Jon Rahm is three under through his first eight holes today.

Tommy Fleetwood is now under way after a short stint on the practice putting green.

He’s decked out what looks like a beige-on-beige combo. A bold sartorial move for some, but he’s looking quite suave this afternoon.

The Englishman was practising his aim point technique, where players stand on points along their putting line to feel the slopes in the green.

How can he possibly tell that? Well, he’s got a spirit level in his bag that he uses to check if he’s correct or not.

Maybe a trip to a hardware shop is all that stands between you and golfing greatness.

As the graphic below shows, Scotland's Robert MacIntyre and Australian Min Woo Lee both know what it takes to win at the Renaissance Club.

Those two are tied for the lead with England's Matt Fitzpatrick, who doesn't have a Scottish Open title to his name but is a major winner and has three PGA Tour victories already this season.

After a twice-disrupted day yesterday, we are back for the final round of the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open from The Renaissance Club in North Berwick.

Scotland's Bob MacIntyre was among a glut of players who had an early tee time this morning to complete their third round after weather halted play yesterday evening just before 20:00 BST.

The home favourite moved into a share of the lead at 12 under par, carding an impressive bogey-free round of five under. He sits atop the leaderboard alongside Min Woo Lee and Matt Fitzpatrick.

Defending champion Chris Gotterup is one adrift alongside Tom Kim, who slipped from the summit with a three-putt bogey on 18, while US Open winner Wyndham Clark is two back.

Rory McIlroy, having shared the lead at the Renaissance Club after the first and second rounds, tumbled six shots off the pace with a three-over 73.
