Tom Kim is your outright leader now! He paces his eagle attempt nicely up and over the hill and leaves a kick-in birdie.

Michael Thorbjornsen holes a good birdie too.

And the birdie putt is always low.

A massively frustrating par for Rory McIlroy, who could have gone level with the leaders.

Rory McIlroy bombs driver onto the 14th green and has 35ft left for eagle.

It races past the hole though and now he has work to do for birdie...

  5. What will the winning score be?published at 16:32 BST 12 July

With Rory McIlroy getting to twelve under, the leaders at thirteen, and a bunch of players hovering nearby, what is likely to be the winning score?

According to Data Golf, they are currently projecting that sixteen under par is the most likely winning score, just edging out 15 under by a few percentage points of likelihood.

A lot of time and a lot of golf remain, but it's something to keep in mind as the top end of the leaderboard head towards the turn.

Eagle chance coming up for Tom Kim on seven.

Chris Gotterup and Michael Thorbjornsen are both over the back in two blows, but Kim's ball nestles nicely at the front of the green.

  7. Bob drops further back as Lee joins leaderspublished at 16:30 BST 12 July

    MacIntyre -11, Lee -13, M. Fitzpatrick -13 (6)

Bob MacIntyre has a slippery right-to-left putt to save his par at the sixth, but he leaves it short and that's a second bogey of the day.

Min Woo Lee's approach was a beauty and he taps in to join Tom Kim and Matt Fitzpatrick - who makes par - at the top.

Wyndham Clark isn't having much joy so far today.

A birdie try at the par-five seventh catches a piece of the hole but has too much pace to drop.

Kevin Roy joins Clark on nine under with a bogey, but Johnny Keefer gets to 11 under with a birdie. Roy delights a young fan by handing her his ball on the walk to the next tee.

    Gotterup -11, Kim -13, Thorbjornsen -9 (6)

Chris Gotterup slides a long look at birdie narrowly past on the sixth, he taps in for par to remain two off the lead.

A similarly lengthy look at a three for Tom Kim on the par four stops short, and he too walks off with a four to stay tied at the top.

Michael Thorbjornsen remains on nine under after also carding a par.

    MacIntyre -12, Lee -12, M. Fitzpatrick -13 (5)

Back to the tricky short fifth hole, where the final group are in action.

Matt Fitzpatrick makes it look easy though, finding the dancefloor and draining the putt. He's level at the top with Tom Kim.

Pars for Bob MacIntyre and Min Woo Lee, who both stay one back.

Martin Watt @15:46 - 'Blootering'! I love that. Makes me wonder what other names we come up with for a driver that's been mullered.

    MacIntyre -12, Lee -12, M. Fitzpatrick -12 (4)

    Argh.

A frustrating three-putt for Bob MacIntyre who drops out of the lead.

No such worries for Min Woo Lee and Matt Fitzpatrick, who both make par.

    T Kim -13, Gotterup -11, Thorbjornsen -9 (5)

The downhill par-three fifth is already a tough test, but with the wind whipping and the pin tucked on the front edge, players have to use all their skill to stop their ball near the hole.

Tom Kim rolls his birdie putt back uphill to the stick but it doesn't turn enough, with Chris Gotterup and Michael Thorbjornsen doing likewise.

Par, par, and par as they meander to the sixth tee.
