Golfing attire is a common sight among the galleries at pretty much every event. It's lightweight, comfortable and can even be snazzy.

However, I've just seen a fan wearing a golf glove. Sorry, not having that at all. Downright ridiculous.

Bob MacIntyre chunters to himself after his par putt drifts past the hole.

Precious little has gone his way in the final round since an opening birdie.

Min Woo Lee completes an excellent up-and-down from the bunker to save his par though. Massive in the context of this tournament.

And Matt Fitzpatrick also makes a four to stay at 13 under.

  3. McIlroy cards impressive 64published at 17:44 BST 12 July

    McIlroy -12 (64)

Can Rory McIlroy finish in style with a closing birdie?

He takes his time, sizing up the task at hand from all angles, but it blows past the cup, and he has to settle for a walk-off par.

His six-under for today is currently the joint-best round along with Viktor Hovland.

    T Kim -15 (11)

That's just pure class. Tom Kim shows lovely soft hands to dink a wedge narrowly past the hole and leave an easy par to remain two clear.

Matt Fitzpatrick has found the back edge of the green, too.

Bob MacIntyre drops to his haunches after a low-flighted iron shot comes up short of the 10th green.

It looked pretty good in the air, but now he’s scrambling to save par.

Min Woo Lee is also in a spot of bother, finding a deep pot bunker and short-siding himself.

    T Kim -15 (10)

Work to do for the leader on 11.

Tom Kim's approach from the semi-rough ends up short right. The pin is on that side but he doesn't have much green to work with.

Min Woo Lee is down the right on the 10th hole. The lie is fine, as it’s an area trodden down by spectators, but he won't be able to easily access the pin, which is tucked away on the right.

That won’t be a problem for Matt Fitzpatrick and Bob MacIntyre, though, who have stayed on line despite this gusting wind.

    McIlroy -12 (17)

Rory McIlroy cancels out his bogey on the 16th with a smart birdie on the par-three 17th.

He's three off the lead with only one to play, though, so he's simply going to run out of holes, it would seem.

  10. Kim extends leadpublished at 17:24 BST 12 July

    T Kim -15 (10)

    Tom Kim goes two clear!

The South Korean's putt is perfection on the 10th for a fourth gain of the day.

    Can anyone stop him now?

    MacIntyre -10, Lee -13, M. Fitzpatrick -13 (9)

A shake of the head from Bob MacIntyre as he makes the turn, that's his third bogey in six holes, leaving him four off leader Tom Kim.

A par apiece for Matt Fitzpatrick and Min Woo Lee keeps them in the hunt.

  12. McIlroy falters with two to playpublished at 17:22 BST 12 July

    McIlroy -11 (16)

    Rory McIlroy's race looks run.

He slides a 10-footer for par past the hole and drops further back with only a couple of holes left to play.

    MacIntyre -11, Lee -13, M. Fitzpatrick -13 (8)

Min Woo Lee isn't happy at the eighth.

His par putt skirts past the hole and he must have been distracted by a spectator, because he points into the crowd and puts his finger to his lips.

A bogey for the Australian, who drops out of the lead.

Matt Fitzpatrick also makes a bogey five after three-putting from 60ft.

Bob MacIntyre has an outside chance at birdie, but has to settle for par.

Oofty. Tom Kim gets away with one there and he knows it.

His putt from about four feet on the par three dances all the way round the hole before finally dropping.

It's pars all round for this trio. Kim hits the turn as co-leader.

    Nakajima -12 (10)

A birdie on the par-four tenth moves Japan's Keita Nakajima into a share of fifth at twelve under.

That's his third hole under par for the day, he's putting together a solid round.

For all of you following on apps, ourselves included, to get accurate measurements on how far a drive has been skelped or how close a birdie putt is, you can thank the army of volunteers and marshals on the course.

I got talking to one of them at the practice facility early, and this touchscreen device with a serviceable aerial on top is how that information is relayed across the course.

    Now you know.

The biggest crowds are clearly elsewhere - Bob's every move is mobbed - but Tom Kim will not be giving a hoot.

The South Korean is playing some lovely stuff and quietly going about his business.

A chance to reclaim the outright lead comes on the eighth but it's a fiendish downhill putt. No harm done with a par.

Chris Gotterup can't convert his par save and let's rip with an expletive. The big man ain't happy.

  19. Fitzpatrick and Lee move into share of leadpublished at 16:52 BST 12 July

    MacIntyre -11, Lee -14, M. Fitzpatrick -14 (7)

Bob MacIntyre does well out of a tricky situation on the right of the seventh green with his third on the par five, but has to settle for a par after a wayward birdie putt.

Playing partner Matt Fitzpatrick backs off his birdie look to reassess his line, and it pays off.

The ball drops and he moves into a share of the lead with Tom Kim at fourteen under par.

Min Woo Lee fancies a share of the lead too, and moves to fourteen under after his ball spins around the lip of the hole.

He stands stunned, but relieved, after the ball disappears into the hole.

    Keefer -13 (9)

The 25-year-old is feeling it right now.

The crowds at the par-three ninth hole almost see a hole in one as his tee shot hits the green, rolling agonisingly close to the cup.

He takes advantage of an excellent first, rolling in his birdie putt to move into a tie for second.
