Hugely ambitious from Ellis Taylor as he bundles forward and fires in a left-footed 30-yarder which flies high and wide, but ref Will Finnie spots a slight deflection so Town get a corner.

... which is cleared at the near post.

There's a few people on social media suggesting that Jatta's goal was offside.

There was a look to the linesman but the flag never went up.

Jatta looked like he could have been a bit too advanced but it's hard to tell from the angle we're at.

    Harrogate 0-1 Notts County

Better couple of minutes for Harrogate who have found their feet a little and pushed County back into their own half, but the visitors' movement in attack makes them a dangerous proposition on the break.

    Harrogate 0-1 Notts County

Great defending from Cathal Heffernan as Alassana Jatta latches onto a long Matt Palmer pass towards the Town goal, shields the ball and lets fly with a powerful strike, only for the defender to get in a vital block.

One-way traffic at the moment, and not good news from Harrogate fans - they have gone behind 24 times this season, come back to win NONE of them, and have lost 18.

    Harrogate 0-1 Notts County

More nice approach play with an exchange of passes between Matthew Dennis and Tom Iorpenda on the edge of the Town box before the Huddersfield loanee gives is back to Dennis who spins and gets a shot away across goal with his left peg but can't catch it right and it bobbles to safety.

  6. 'Town chaotic and nervy'published at 12:46 GMT 28 March

    Former Harrogate Town captain

We seem a little bit rushed, a little bit panicked which is normal, especially with so much on the game.

They need to take the sting out of the game, maybe pass the ball round the back and calm it down because it's a little bit chaotic and nervy at the moment.

We need to take back a little bit of control.

  7. 'Iorpenda impressive for Notts'published at 12:44 GMT 28 March

Iorpenda is a player that I've seen and I'm impressed.

He picks up the ball in really good areas and he has the ability to really affect the game.

Intricate play by Notts at the moment.

The goal has given County some renewed confidence and shaken the hosts and it's the green shirts swarming forward again in search of a second.

  9. 'Unfortunate defending'published at 12:42 GMT 28 March

Not the start we were looking for. Some real slick play by Notts, they'll be really pleased with the outcome.

They managed to get Iorpenda into a really good area. The two up top fill the penalty area really easily and that's where Dennis and Jatta both were as the ball was slipped in.

It's unfortunate Town were unable to defend it.

    Alassana Jatta

    Deadlock broken.

Harrogate are convinced this should have been an offside but no VAR in the EFL, of course.

County play some nice stuff and Harald Nilsen Tangen works the ball into Tom Iorpenda on the right of the box and he crosses low to the back post where Alassana Jatta is on hand to turn in from a couple of yards out for his 13th league goal of the campaign.

He looked to have drifted a yard beyond the defence as the ball came in, but the flag fails to appear and County lead, and are into the automatic promotion places as things stand.

    Harrogate 0-0 Notts County

Jodi Jones floats in a cross from the left but Harrogate keeper Henry Gray claims it high up at his back post with Alassana Jatta lurking.

Gray is the spitting image of Traitors winner Stephen, by the way, fluffy blond 'tache and all.

    Harrogate 0-0 Notts County

First sight of County as an attacking force as the recalled Keanen Bennetts finds Alassana Jatta in the box but he is crowded out and the hosts pinch possession.

Harrogate have started with more intensity than the visitors, that's for sure.

  13. 'Conditions favouring Town'published at 12:37 GMT 28 March

    Harrogate 0-0 Notts County

    Josh Falkingham

The conditions, the pitch with how fiery it is and the wind are all having a huge effect.

Notts usually like to play it short but Belshaw has been kicking it long. It's unsettling which is great news for Town.

    Harrogate 0-0 Notts County

Some lovely football from Town down the left almost sends Jacob Slater through on goal, he hares in behind the County backline and bears down on James Belshaw but the flag, belatedly, goes up for offside.

  15. 'Notts tactically different'published at 12:34 GMT 28 March

    Harrogate 0-0 Notts County

    Josh Falkingham
    Former Harrogate Town captain

In the initial stages I've been really interested to see how Notts County would set up tactically.

They've changed the shape slightly, they've got one pivot in Palmer in the midfield.

Tactically, they've gone away from what they've been doing despite being clear on their identity throughout the season.

    Harrogate 0-0 Notts County

Much like on Tuesday, there's a stiff breeze for Notts County to contend with today, and James Belshaw's first goal-kick of the day only goes 40 yards, before back-tracking Alassana Jatta is penalised for a foul on Levi Sutton.

Jatta cut a frustrated figure all night at Oldham, and that won't have helped his mood early on here.

Will Finnie's whistle gets us under way...

A clash of two teams with plenty of history - Harrogate beat Notts County in the National League promotion final in 2020 to take their place in the EFL.

Defeat today would make their chances of staying in it beyond May a harder task.

Let's see what drama we have in store...

  18. Teams are out...published at 12:28 GMT 28 March

Harrogate v Notts County (12:30 GMT)

Yellow and black for the home side, all green with white socks for the Magpies, who will at least be pleased to walk out into far nicer weather than they did on Tuesday when it was incredibly bleak at Oldham.

    Kick-off is moments away...

Simon Weaver has made one change from the Sulphurites XI which went down 1-0 at Oldham last Saturday.

Levi Sutton is handed his start of the calendar year with former Liverpool midfielder Tom Hill missing out.

Martin Paterson has made three changes to the Magpies side which went down 3-0 at Boundary Park on Tuesday night.

Fourteen-goal leading scorer Matthew Dennis comes back into the attack after a cameo off the bench after injury in midweek and Harald Nilsen Tangen and Keanen Bennetts are recalled.

Conor Grant drops to the bench, there's no Nick Tsaroulla and Oli Norburn is suspended after his second red card in three games on Tuesday night.
