    Doncaster Rovers captain Owen Bailey has signed a new three-year deal.

    The 27-year-old midfielder has scored 20 goals in 138 league appearances for Grant McCann's side since joining from Gateshead in June 2023.

    "The way the gaffer has spoken to me since I've come to the club has been unbelievable," he told the club website., external

    "It's a big thing for me to want to repay that and commit my future here and give everything when I go out on the pitch, and I'll continue to do that."

    Doncaster Rovers have signed Bristol Rovers midfielder Isaac Hutchinson for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.

    The 26-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan at Cheltenham Town and scored 15 goals in 34 League Two appearances.

    The former Derby and Walsall man is Doncaster's eighth summer signing.

    "Quite a few clubs were after him, and the fact that he chose us gives us great reassurance that he wants to come here and he wants to make his mark," boss Grant McCann told the club website., external

    Tranmere Rovers have signed defender Bobby Faulkner on a season-long loan deal from Doncaster Rovers.

    Faulkner, 21, spent last season on loan at Harrogate Town with new Tranmere team-mate Jacob Slater and has made 86 career appearances.

    Faulkner, who has also had loans with Buxton, Dundalk and Spennymoor, told the club website:, external "It's been really good to come in to meet all the lads and the staff.

    "It's always better when you know players at a club and it's really good to see Jacob Slater again."
